"All trail-access decisions are political decisions"

The Trail Political Action Committee (TPAC) was founded as the first national non-partisan political action committee dedicated solely to championing responsible off-highway vehicle recreation on designated roads, trails, and areas on public lands through the electoral and legislative processes.
*
The TPAC tactical goal is to target key races using state-of-the art real-time analysis where there is a tough election and the pro-access candidate needs some extra support to help to defeat their opponent.
*
TPAC is needed to counter the anti-access special interests in Washington DC who have long ago figured that contributing to closure-oriented politicians is how they will accomplish their goal of restricting OHV access on federal lands.
*
TPAC is ready to stand in that political breach to stop the flow of anti-access politicians into the Capital. TPAC will work hard to reverse that trend so that pro-access legislators will exist as the majority in Congress and the White House.

Legendary Off Road Racing Family Endorses TPAC

Legendary Off-Road Family Endorses TPAC

RIVERSIDE, CA (Aug. 10, 2016) – A premier off-road racing family and long-time champion of efforts to protect trail access on public lands endorsed The Trail PAC (TPAC) today.  Malcolm Smith, President of Malcolm Smith Motorsports, and his son, Alexander Smith, General Manager of Malcolm Smith Motorsports, in Riverside California, issued a joint endorsement of TPAC’s effort to elect pro-trail candidates to Congress.

Malcolm Smith, an off-road racing legend, states, "My friends, customers, and racing/riding buddies know that my life, career, and family life have centered on my love of trail riding in the great outdoors.  It has been a cherished blessing and is something I want to make sure is around for my children and future generations.”

“Over the years, I have seen thousands of miles of trails closed in Southern California and other places.  Trail enthusiasts have to be involved in the fight to keep trails open for responsible OHV recreation.  Off-road voters must support candidates that will champion access to public lands,” Smith continues.

"Both Alexander and myself have appreciated the work that TPAC has been doing over the last two election cycles to help elect pro-trail candidates to the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.  We are proud to endorse the efforts of TPAC in 2016 to help elect politicians who will support our right to ride on designated roads, trails, and areas," Smith concludes.

VOTE TRAILS on November 4

With just a few hours before the polls open for the 2014 midterm election, TPAC wants to remind trail voters that most, if not all, of our endorsed key battleground candidates are in dead-heats or within the margin of error with their opponents.

A victory on November 4 means that new Senate leadership will hold federal regulators accountable through the use of riders on must pass spending legislation and oversight hearings.  They will also pass access-related and regulatory reform House bills and send them to the President.

A pro-trail Senate majority may also be the last line of defense against an onslaught of National Monuments – created without local stakeholder involvement - designated by the President via executive fiat.

TPAC nationalized this election to empower trail voters in states where there are no senate races so they can help shape the political landscape in Washington D.C.   We also worked hard to get local OHV enthusiasts engaged with our endorsed candidates.

If you have not done so already, please encourage your own OHV networks to support our endorsed battleground races and to VOTE TRAILS on November 4.

Endorsed Senate Candidates

 AK - Dan Sullivan
AR - Tom Cotton
CO - Cory Gardner
GA - David Perdue
IA - Joni Ernst
MI - Terry Lynn Land
MN -Mike McFadden
MT - Steve Daines

Endorsed House Candidates

CA -  David Valadao (Congressional District 21)
CA - Doug Ose (Congressional District 7)

Thanks!

TPAC/OHV Leaders Endorse Doug Ose for Congress in California's CD7

Dear Trail Voter,
The Trail Political Action Committee (TPAC) works to elect federal candidates who will support legislation and policy that promotes and protects responsible off-highway vehicle recreation on public and private lands.   TPAC is proud to announce its official endorsement and support for Doug Ose who is running in California's 7th Congressional District (CD7).

Ed Santin, an AMA District 36 Board Member and CD7 constituent, states, "Former Congressman Doug Ose was a strong supporter of trail access issues when he was in the House of Representatives.  I believe we need his leadership once again considering the hostile regulatory climate that directly affects our ability to ride responsibly on Forest Service and BLM trails.  I will be urging my friends to vote for Ose on November 4."

Steve Egbert, President of California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, states, "I believe that Doug Ose is the right choice in this election.  Trail users are continually faced with onerous unwarranted regulations that impact our ability to enjoy the great outdoors with our family and friends.  We need to send Ose back to Washington D.C. to help bring some common sense to the land-use debate."

As a former congressman, Doug Ose has a proven track record when it comes to supporting legislation that protects responsible OHV recreational access to federal lands.   He will also fight against the anti-access regulatory agenda of the green lobby in Washington D.C. and champion common sense regulatory reform at the EPA and other agencies.

His opponent, Ami Bera, was recently endorsed by that very same green lobby.  Last month, the California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) and the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund announced their endorsement of Ami Bera for re-election to CD7.

Ose is in a very tight race with incumbent congressman Ami Bera.  Early in the midterms, TPAC identified CD7 as one of our key House battleground races.  Now with CD7 in the national spotlight and because the green lobby is rushing its support to Bera, it is time for trail voters to step up to the plate and  help elect Doug Ose to the House of Representatives.

Remember that with each donation of $25 dollars or more, you get one of our new "I VOTE TRAILS" bumper stickers that you can proudly display on your vehicle of choice.

Thanks for being engaged in the 2014 midterms!

TPAC, OHVers, and X-Game Champion Support Dan Sullivan for Senate in Alaska

Dan Sullivan (R) Supports Trail Access

The Trail Political Action Committee (TPAC) works to elect federal candidates who will support legislation and policy that promotes and protects responsible off-highway vehicle recreation on public and private lands.   TPAC is proud to announce its official endorsement and support for Dan Sullivan who is running for the U.S. Senate in Alaska.

Patti Barber, an Alaskan access advocate, states, “I’m voting for Dan Sullivan because he will defend our right to access public lands and waterways for responsible use of natural resources and recreational activities.

Paul Vitrano, VP, Global Government Relations, Polaris, told TPAC , "I met Dan Sullivan last night and told him how important Alaska and public land access for OHVs is to our industry and enthusiasts. He emphasized that access is important to him. He added that he has an ad coming out that will feature a snowmobile enthusiast who supports him."

Sullivan is in a very tight race with incumbent Senator Mark Begich.  In the aforementioned TV ad, four time X-Games medalist Cory Davis recently called out Begich for pretending to be a motorized recreationist.

Davis said, “I’m Cory Davis. As a four time X-Games medalist, I know something about snow machines. That’s why I had a good laugh when I saw Mark Begich pretending to ride one.”

TV AD with X-Game Champion

TPAC joins with Vitrano, Barber, Davis and other pro-trail enthusiasts in the belief that we need legislators back in Washington D.C who understand how unwarranted closures and regulations impact responsible use of public lands.

Dan Sullivan is in a very tight race with incumbent Senator Mark Begich and he needs the support of trail enthusiasts in Alaska and from across the country to help change the current closure paradigm in the U.S. Senate.

Won’t you join the fight to protect our access rights to public lands by making a generous donation today so that TPAC may continue its efforts to endorse and support congressional candidates in key battleground states?

DONATE $25, $50, $100, $200, $300, $500, $1,000 - $5,000 TO ELECT PRO-TRAIL CANDIDATES

Dan Sullivan is TPAC’s 6th officially endorsed senate race where he joins our other endorsed senate races: AR - Tom Cotton, CO - Cory Gardner, MI - Terry Lynn Land, MN -Mike McFadden, and MT - Steve Daines.

TPAC's  "Senate Soon-to-Endorse or Watch List" includes: GA - David Perdue, IA - Joni Ernst, KY - Mitch McConnell, LA - Bill Cassidy, NC - Thom Tillis, NH - Scott Brown, and OR -Monica Wehby.

Thanks for your continued support in the 2014 midterms.  You are making a difference!

The POWER of One Vote

Dear Off-Road Voter,
The Trail PAC was formed to help empower the off-road voter by pooling resources so that we can send more pro-trail candidates to Congress and by encouraging OHV enthusiasts to use the "power of ONE vote" to defend and protect our continued recreational access to public and private lands.

TPAC believes that many of our battleground races will be decided by less than 1,000 votes.  For example, in the 2004 Washington State Gubernatorial race, Democrat Christine Gregoire defeated Republican Dino Rossi by just over 130 votes.

In 2006, incumbent Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman was ultimately beaten by Saturday Night Live's comedian, Al Franken.  Franken won by just 312 votes. Off-road voters in Nevada played a key role in 2012 by helping TPAC endorsed senate candidate, Dean Heller, defeat the LCV endorsed Shelly Berkley by just over 1%.

As you can see, an organized and enthused OHV user base that shows up at the ballot box on Election Day can play a significant role in who goes back to Washington D.C. on November 4.   Your robust participation/support in key targeted races will help ensure our continued ability to enjoy high quality motorized recreation on public lands.

CAMPAIGN WATCH UPDATE - The Trail PAC has added the Scott Brown for Senate campaign in New Hampshire to our list of key races to monitor and potentially endorse.  His opponent, Jeanne Shaheen, received a 100% score from the Green Lobby's League of Conservation Voters (LCV) for her support of their legislative proposals in 2013.  In contrast, the LCV gave Brown a score of ZERO for his 2010 votes against their agenda.

Thanks again for your support in the 2014 midterms!

See you on the campaign trail.

The Trail PAC Endorses Tom Cotton for Senate in AR

The Trail Political Action Committee (TPAC) works to elect federal candidates who will support legislation and policy that promotes and protects responsible off-highway vehicle recreation on public and private lands.  Today, TPAC is proud to announce its endorsement and support for Tom Cotton who is running for the U.S. Senate in Arkansas.

Congressman Cotton believes it is vitally important for the government to provide access to public lands to all Arkansans, irrespective of their mode of transport. Far too often today, the federal government is attempting to take over more private land and restrict the use of public lands in the name of “environmental protection.” Restrictions come in many varieties, but recently the most frequent attack has been through Endangered Species Act listings. The Administration is making a concerted effort to change the rules of the listing process so it is easier to list lands, thereby restricting use and providing additional motivation for individuals to sell their land to federal authorities.

Tom supports the use of federal lands by all users - hunters, fishermen, trail riders, hikers, and everyone else. He believes the proper management of federal lands is achieved when citizens are able to use the land and pass down respect for the land to the next generation, just like his father Len did with Tom, not when we block it off from any use.

Cotton joins Terri Lynn Land for Senate in Michigan and Steve Daines for Senate in Montana as our 3rd officially endorsed/supported senate race.

Trail voters need a net gain of six seats in November to change the current Senate leadership.   TPAC, along with other political observers, believes the AR senate race will play an important role in changing that Senate paradigm.

6-time Gold Medalist for the International Six Days Enduro and National Enduro Champion, Steve Hatch, says, “I applaud the actions and support the hard work of TPAC’s efforts to elect pro-trail candidates to the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. We all need to stand together and help continue to fight for our trails.”

As you know, TPAC's strategy in 2014 is to target/support up to 11 key Senate and 15 important battleground House races.  Join Steve Hatch and many others in support of TPAC’s effort to change the current leadership in the U.S. Senate and retain the pro-access House majority.   Please consider a donation of $10, $25, $100, $500, or $1,000 today.

Watch for official TPAC endorsements soon in the Colorado and Iowa senate races.

Thanks for helping get summer motorized recreation into the game.

Several decades ago, the green lobby decided to put the timber industry out-of-business on federal lands. They used the Northern Spotted Owl as a tool to kill that industry.  Today, the federal timber program has functionally gone extinct.

Those same groups now have painted a political target on the back of the OHV community and are using the Sage Grouse in 11 Western States to accomplish a similar goal. Our fate does not have to be the same as federal timber operators. We have the power in this election to change the political structure in Washington D.C.

Federal election law allows you to donate up to $5,000 dollars to TPAC to help our effort. Don’t sit on the sidelines in this election – it’s too important. Don’t expect other trail voters to carry the load by themselves. Join with us in this FIGHT to promote and protect responsible OHV recreation on public and private lands via the electoral process.

DONATE $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, up to $5000 TO KEEP OHV OFF THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST

Off-Road "King" of the Hammers - Jason Scherer - Endorses TPAC Midterm Effort

Each day this week, as part of TPAC’s update on our “Be a Trail Hero” fundraiser’s donor list, we will highlight a famous off-road champion who has endorsed TPAC’s effort to send pro-trail candidates to the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

Today, an off-road racing champion and long-time supporter of efforts to protect trail access on public lands endorsed The Trail PAC.  Jason Scherer is the 2009 King of the Hammers Race winner and has captured the crown at many other OHV competitions.

King Scherer, states, “As a professional competitor and trail enthusiast, I know what it takes to keep trails open for responsible OHV recreation.  The recent fight to protect historic motorized access at the BLM’s Johnson Valley OHV Area is proof that it is the politicians who make land use decisions that impact us all.  Electing pro-trail candidates is the most effective way to help secure long-term recreational access to public lands for current and future generations.”

“I want to encourage off-road voters to get engaged in the 2014 midterm elections.  I am proud to endorse the efforts of TPAC to help elect politicians who will support our access to public lands, Scherer concludes.

TPAC is working to change the obstructionist leadership in the U.S. Senate that kills OHV-related regulatory reform efforts.  Off-road voters can help remove legislative chokepoint by electing a pro-access majority to the U.S. Senate and maintain and grow our majority in the House of Representatives.

TPAC’s strategy is to target/support up to 11 key senate races in states such as Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, and Montana.  We also look to target up to 15 important battleground House races in various congressional districts including Arizona CD2/CD3, California CD7/21, Colorado CD6, Utah CD4, and West Virginia CD3.

The TPAC Trail Access Victory Fund has set a goal to raise $10,000 or more between now and the FEC filing deadline of January 31. Your donation WILL allow us to support key pro-trail candidates in battleground races.  TPAC is asking you to be a TRAIL:  HALL OF FAME MEMBER, HERO, CHAMPION, LEADER, or SUPPORTER.

During the week TPAC will be featuring Off-Road Champions from King of the Hammers, National Enduros, Best in the Desert, ISDE, King of the Motos, National Mototrials, and National Hare & Hound who are supporting TPAC’s effort to elect pro-trail candidates to Congress.

Trail users who donate will have their first name/city/state listed in the following categories:

TPAC -JOIN The Fight to Keep Trails Open - Be a Hero Fundraiser - 1st Targeted Senate Race and Off-Road Champions Support TPAC Effort

The Trail PAC is proud to announce its official “Be a Trail Hero” launch into the 2014 midterm election cycle.  Trail voters “got into the game” in the 2012 election by helping elect a number of pro-access legislators into Congress including Nevada’s U.S. Senator, Dean Heller.  TPAC expects to build on that success in this election cycle.

Congress has a growing number of legislators who are off-road enthusiasts themselves and support responsible OHV use on federal lands.  Members of the U.S. House of Representatives have introduced and passed legislation that supports public use of motorized trails.  They have also passed bills and held oversight hearings to address unwarranted and politically motived excessive OHV-related regulations at the EPA, Forest Service, and BLM.

However, U.S. Senate leadership is jamming similar regulatory reform efforts in that legislative body.  Off-road voters must weigh in to change that unresponsive paradigm.   With your help in 2014, we can remove those roadblocks by electing a pro-access majority to the U.S.

TPAC is pleased to announce that we are supporting Steve Daines for Senate in Montana as our 1st targeted senate race.   Last week, MT access leader, Amy Brieder, presented Steve Daines with an official TPAC donation at Yellowstone Motorsports in Belgrade, MT.

After the presentation by Amy, Steve Daines said, “A big thanks to TrailPAC for their support of my election to U.S. Senate. Access to our outdoor recreation is a big part of the lives of Montana families and I will work to preserve these opportunities for future generations to enjoy.”

Political Earthquake in MT Rocks 2014 Political Landscape

A 9.0 political earthquake rocked the national electoral landscape yesterday when MT Governor, Brian Schweitzer, announced he would not run in 2014 to replace Senator Max Caucus who is retiring from the U.S. Senate.

The Red/Blue State Map had not felt such a violent force since the 2010 elections when Chip Cravaack unseated Jim Oberstar (MN-CD8).

TPAC believes the departure of Schweitzer from the MT senate race assures that contest will be one of the most intensely watched races in 2014.  It also increases the odds for a pro-trail and pro-regulatory reform majority to take control of the U.S. Senate in the 2014 midterms.

TPAC will also be monitoring KEY senate contests in Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Dakota, and West Virginia.  We plan to be actively engaged in most, if not all, of those races.

Be assured our political opponents will be out there in 2014 smearing any of our candidates who want to champion common sense regulatory reforms that impact our recreational activities on lands managed by the Forest Service, BLM, and National Park Service.  In 2012, TPAC supported senate candidate, Denny Rehberg, was narrowly defeated by Jon (I love closure legislation) Tester.   If grassroots trail voters had been more engaged, TPAC believes our pro-trail candidate would have won.

TPAC was created to give OHV enthusiasts a seat at the federal political table.  By nationalizing our efforts, trail voters in congressional districts or senate races where it is almost impossible to unseat the anti-OHV incumbent, can still impact the 2014 midterms by helping TPAC support races where our candidate has a better chance of winning.

DONATE $25, $50, $100, $200, $500 - $5,000 TO HELP TPAC SEND PRO-TRAIL CANDIDATES TO THE U.S. SENATE

Elected Official Asks for Repeal of Anti-OHV Dust Regulations

TPAC wants to showcase the types of elected officials that we need to send to Congress in the 2014 midterm elections.

Debbie Peterson, Mayor of Grover Beach, California, has written a petition asking for a repeal of Rule 1001 because of questions raised by a number of agencies including the California Geological Survey about the scientific validity of the dust regulations.  The dust regulations placed unwarranted fiscal burdens on the OHV Park’s managing agency and the user community.  The Rule called for excessive fines, use fees, monitoring costs, and permits.

Fresno Bee Article on Repeal of Dust Rule at Oceano Dunes SVRA
http://www.fresnobee.com/2013/07/08/3379420/coastal-leader-asks-for-repeal.html

As you know, electing politicians who will champion common sense reforms of excessive regulations – that impact responsible motorized recreation - was one of the key tenets of TPAC’s effort in the 2012 elections.  It is again, a primary focus in the 2014 midterms.

TPAC will need your help in 2014 to help continue the work we started in 2012 so we can bolster the pro-trail legislators who are already there.

DONATE $20, $50, $100, $200, $500 - $5,000 TO HELP SEND PRO-TRAIL CANDIDATES TO D.C.

THANK YOU! - OHV Growing Factor in D.C. Political Landscape

Dear Trail Voter,

The Trail PAC wants to thank the donors who participated in our 1-day "Be a Trail Hero" fundraiser to help restock our political war chest for the 2014 midterm elections.

TPAC is excited about the opportunity for summer motorized trail enthusiasts to support pro-trail candidates regardless of party affiliation in the upcoming election.   With your continued financial support, TPAC will also work hard to send additional pro-trail candidates to the House and Senate. Those new Members of Congress will help support the ongoing work of pro-trail politicians already there.

* Some of those members have an OHV racing background and/or currently ride OHVs or dual-sport motorcycles as their preferred forms of recreation.

That aforementioned work includes holding oversight hearings on excessive cost-recovery fees for OHV permitted events, streamlining of the NEPA process for OHV-related projects, tort reform, and new 21st Century legislation that gives long-term statutory protection for motorized recreation on public lands.

With your support in the 2014 midterms, TPAC will continue to be the counterweight for our targeted pro-trail candidates against the anti-access political machine of the League of Conservation Voters, Earth Justice, Earth First!, and the Sierra Club.

Thanks again to the following trail voters who supported this fundraiser.

Trail Hero 1-Day Fundraiser - Updated Donor List @ 3:30pm

Dear Trail Voter,

DONOR UPDATE: 3:30pm Pacific Coast Time

It is great to have new riders join the fight via the electoral process. As you know, the 2014 midterm election cycle has already started and the June 30th FEC filing deadline for PACs is today at midnight. TPAC has already been getting calls from pro-trail candidates asking us if we will be there for them in those tight races. I told them YES!

TPAC is running a 1-day fundraiser to restock our political war chest for the 2014 midterm elections. In the 2012 elections, TPAC fought battleground races in AZ, CA, CO, IN, KY, MN, MT, ND, NM, NV, OH, PA, VA, and WA. Those were key targeted battleground races for our pro-trail candidates who were engaged in fierce political fights.

You have constructed a strong foundation for TPAC. Using the momentum from the 2012 election, trail voters are well positioned to impact the next election.

With your support in the 2014 midterms, TPAC will continue to be the counterweight for our targeted pro-trail candidates against the anti-access political machine of the League of Conservation Voters, Earth Justice, Earth First!, and the Sierra Club.

There is always a "political itch" in a 2nd Presidential term.   With your help that itch will be scratched by TPAC in the 2014 midterm (House/Senate) elections.

After you donate today, your support level will be noted by listing your first name, city, and state in one of the categories below. The list below will be updated periodically today as Trail Heroes, Champions, Advocates, and Supporters donate.

Trail Hero - $500 or more

OHV Matures as Political Force

The OHV community has come a long way in the last 23 -26 years.  As a user group, OHV has matured to become a respected and valued member in the land-use debate.   That has not always been the case.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, OHV often was given a secondary position at the discussion table behind both resource and environmental interests.   Many industry and conservation groups were established in the 1800s and had cultivated long-standing relationships with politicians and agency leaders.

From a national perspective, OHV had just become aware of the need for it to become substantively organized to protect and defend itself from the political agenda of anti-access groups who now had added motorized recreation to their list of human activities that should be either banned or severely restricted.

Although OHV has become more effective in battling closure advocates in the administrative and legal arenas, it still has a long way to go when it comes to becoming a political force in the electoral process.

Anti-access groups have developed an effective strategy to further their goals.  They are engaged in both the grassroots/administrative process AND the electoral process.   OHV should be commended for their successful efforts in the administrative process, but they are still in the beginning stage of affecting the outcomes on Election Day.

The Trail PAC was founded to help give OHV a seat at the “political table.”  We started that effort for the 2012 election and plan to grow our impact for the 2014 midterm cycle to help send pro-trail candidates to Congress.

Please go to the donation link below if you want to make an early contribution for our pro-trail efforts in the upcoming election.

See you on the campaign trail,

Fake Outdoor Group Trying to Throw MT Senate Race

Over the last several years, extreme environmental organizations have created fake outdoor recreation or OHV groups to mask their anti-access agenda in various Forest Service and BLM travel planning processes.   So it should come as no surprise that proxies for Green Super PACs and enviro-activists have created a faux group called the Montana Hunters and Anglers Leadership Fund.

According to the Fairfield Sun Times, this fake group just purchased $500K in TV ads to try and sabotage the campaign of Denny Rehberg who is a TPAC targeted key senate race.  A must win if we are going to elect a pro-trail majority to the U.S. Senate.

Guns, Regulations, and Special Trails

With just a dozen days left until November 6, TPAC believes that “excessive regulation” has replaced the ”gun issue” as a deciding factor in this election.  Many political experts believe that Al Gore’s harsh anti-gun stance cost him the election in the 2000 presidential race against George Bush.

Over-regulation at the EPA, Department of Interior, and other agencies has been a major topic throughout the primary and presidential debates.  Those regulations are impacting energy development – including the reduction of permits issued - on public lands.   It’s not just energy permits that have been reduced or made complex over the last 4 years… the Department of Interior is threatening the issuance of OHV permits due to a myriad of baseless concerns about the impacts that motorized events might have on the Sage Grouse and other species.

The Forest Service has also complicated it recreation permitting process for OHV events.  On another access issue, the Forest Service has proposed to basically close ALL sand trails in the forested areas of the Oregon Dunes. TPAC believes a pro-trail and pro-regulatory reform Congress and White House would review and amend those regulations to reduce their impact on family-oriented recreational use of federal lands.

Green PACs are going full-bore until Nov. 6 and so should TPAC and our trail voters.  TPAC believes that “every trail is a special trail” and we should do everything we can to make sure those special routes remain open for future generations.

Regulate the Federal Regulators!

As TPAC voters know, it’s both anti-trail politicians and the agency leads they appoint and/or confirm at the EPA and other cabinet level departments that can impact our recreational access to public and private lands.

TPAC is working hard to elect a pro-trail/pro-regulatory majority to the U.S. Senate.  On November 6, trail voters will help determine if the new Senate will rein in federal regulators on OHV recreation-related issues.   TPAC believes a new pro-access majority in the Senate will have a significant and immediate impact on the politically motivated regulatory agenda of the EPA and Consumer Product Safety Commission.  Those two agencies regulate both our public land access and the vehicles we use.

Tomorrow, TPAC will be announcing several new additions to our key targeted senate races.  Remember OHVers need a net gain of 4 pro-trail senators (3 if Romney/Ryan win) to get our majority.

Here are TPAC's Key Races as of October 10, 2012

U.S. Senate

Tommy Thompson (WI-Senate)
Dean Heller (NV - Senate)
Denny Rehberg (MT-Senate)
George Allen (VA- Senate)
Jeff Flake (AZ - Senate)
Heather Wilson (NM-Senate)
Rick Berg (ND-Senate)

New polling data just coming into TPAC’s war room is showing that Tom Smith is closing in on Bob Casey, Jr. in the Pennsylvania senate race.  Casey is backed by Big Green’s League of Conservation Voters and has almost a 100% score from that organization.  Smith’s regulatory reform agenda would give a big boost to public land access champions such as Senator Jim Inhofe and Senator Dean Heller.

Donate $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, up to $5000 dollars to take back the senate!

TPAC is also reviewing other highly competitive and strategic races in OH, IN, and MO.  Again, at least two key senate races will get TPAC donations tomorrow.  Just how large those donations are will depend on your support of our effort in the remaining few weeks of this election cycle.  This is YOUR chance to make a difference.

Thanks for your continued support!
